Juanita Ruth Barfield, age 89, of Childress, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Graveside services will be held at the Childress Cemetery at 10:00am, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Juanita was born on February 5, 1927 to Wilburn Burnie Adams and Trudie Matilda (McCullough) Adams in Kirkland, Texas. She married CB Barfield on October 12, 1942. They operated and managed Childress Bottling Company and later owned and operated Barfield Paint and Body. Juanita loved working in the yard and loved her family and friends. She enjoyed playing with her little dog, Jagg and feeding ducks. She also loved having long visits with her friends, Glenda Farris and Christie Hightower and considered friends among family. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, CB Barfield; sister, Tillie Briley. She is survived by: Son – Jerry Barfield and wife Laura Barfield of Childress, TX Daughter – Denise Key and husband Floyd of Childress, TX Grandson – Myles Barfield and wife Dana of Bushland, TX Grandson – Eric Key of Childress, TX Granddaughter – Kristen Robers and husband John of Canyon Granddaughter – Starla Barfield of Ardmore, OK 7 Great Grandchildren: Destiny Barfield Hailee Barfield Lillian Klein Rylan Klein Jamie Cantwell Josh Roberts Haley Roberts Numerous extended family and friends.
