Obituary for Juan Sierra Jr.

Funeral services for Juan Ramon Sierra, Jr. will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Kerry Wood officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. also at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
He passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in Amarillo.
He was born January 17, 1980 in Childress to Juan Ramon Sierra Sr. and Terry Ramirez. He was a 1999 graduate of Childress High School where as a linebacker he helped lead the 1998 Childress Bobcats to the Class 3A semifinals. He was the defensive MVP of that team, first team all-district and Class 3A All-State. He later played semi-pro football for the Wichita Falls Drillers. He was a hard worker, took pride in his work, loved his family, was well respected, loved to dance, was a free spirit, strong willed and was a fighter.
Survivors include his mother, Terry Carter; his father, Juan Ramon Sierra Sr.; three sisters, Jennifer Walker and husband, Jonathan, Mary Sierra and Rita Sierra; two brothers, Larry Trejo and Harry Trejo; two sons, Isaiah Adams-Sierra and Xavier Parham; eight nephews, 10 nieces and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
