“You want to go!?”, “Get in the car?”, “Let’s go for a coke run!”, “It’s against the law to pass a garage sale!!”, or “Want to run to Altus?” where some of her favorite things to hear and go do.

She absolutely loved to go, it did not matter if it was a weekend trip, a two week road trip at 87 to New York City, a cruise to some exotic country, a trip around the park in Childress, or one of her favorites, a trip to the thrift store. She was on board!

Sewing, quilting, ceramics, dolls, jewelry, arts and crafts, and painting were just a few of her favorite pastimes and hobbies. She enjoyed sharing these activities with her favorite people. Anna, Linda, Wilma, Kay, Sandra, and the ladies from the Childress Jr. High School Cafeteria, as well as ladies from Parkview Baptist Church were her ladies in crime. Oh, the stories about sweet Joycee that have been shared are a blessing!

Joyce, Grandmother, loved the Lord and her family the most. She enjoyed many holidays and having her crew together around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. She loved being in Childress at Halloween and loving on the children by passing out candy to local trick or treaters. As a family, we have so many cherished memories of our Mom, Momma, Mother in Law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Joycee, and friend. If you have any special memories of Joyce please feel free to share them with the family. This is a special time of celebration for Joyce’s beautiful and blessed life.
