Obituary for Joyce Caldwell
Memorial services for Joyce Caldwell will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 10:45 a.m. at Tell Baptist Church.
She was born February 11, 1941 and left this world to be with her Savior on November 25, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents Opal Rudasill Smith and L.W. Smith.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Don Caldwell; her brother, whom she loved dearly, Dr. Leonard Smith (Bud), of Amarillo; son, Dr. David Caldwell, of Childress; daughter, Kristine Harlow, of Amarillo; niece, Heather Smith, of Amarillo along with four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was an amazing woman and an inspiration to all. She understood the important things in life as her authored poem inspires:
The Journey

The narrow road is the living road,
There is life along its way,
For the light of life shines brightly
Beaming toward eternal day.
Where Saints of God assemble
Around the source of light,
Where truth penetrates darkness
And drives away the night.
There will be no gray, no shadows:
Nothing hidden before His throne,
For we all have one desire, to please Him,
And Him alone.
He is all of life’s meaning,
Our journey was well worth while –
The narrow road has brought us
Into the presence of our Savior’s smile.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Samaritan’s Purse.
