Johnny Thomas, age 67, died Friday, February 21, 2014 in Childress. Memorial services will be at 9:30 AM Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in Childress Church of Christ with Mr. Trey Morgan and Charlie Johnston officiating . Burial will be in Northfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Johnny Keith Thomas was born on September 23, 1946 in Childress to Alan L. and Wilma Bethany Thomas. Johnny loved God, his church and his old white pick-up truck. His favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting and golf and he was the Bobcats biggest fan. His favorite sport teams were the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys, depending on the season. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Soundra Thomas, and his brother and sister-in-law Joe and Lola May Thomas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Westview Boys Home, P.O. Box 553, Hollis, Ok 73550 or to the Northfield Cemetery Association, C/O Betty Simpson, 1712 FM 94A, Northfield, TX 79201.
