Obituary for Johnny Rasco
Johnny Loyd Rasco, age 71, passed away on December 15, 2023 in Childress, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the First Assembly of God, 2020 Avenue I NW, with Pastor Justin Brown officiating. Johnny will be available to be viewed anytime on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home.
Johnny was born in Wellington, Texas on February 1, 1952 to Harold and Maurine Rasco.
Johnny loved the Lord, his family and his friends. He enjoyed taking walks with his wife, Jean, bird watching, feeding the turtles, looking at old cars and collecting miniature lighthouses. He served in the United States Marines from 1972 to 1974.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Maurine Rasco; two brothers, Larry and Charlie; sister, Ruth Rasco Head; son, Jonathon Rasco.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Wilma Jean Matheny Rasco; son, Brandon Rasco and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Amanda Adams and husband, Wesley; grandson, Hudson Adams; two step grandsons, Xavier Koblitz and Christian Cook; step granddaughter, Ashley Koblitz and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
