Obituary for Johnnie Lott

Johnnie Lee Lott, age 77, died Monday, August 12, 2013 in Donley County. Services for Johnnie Lott will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 10:00AM at The Childress Church of Christ with Trey Morgan and Don Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Johnnie was born December 13, 1935 in Childress to John and Ara Owens Lott. As a young man, he worked as a machinist for Burlington Northern Railroad. He later worked for White Home and Auto and became district manager while residing in Denver. After moving back to Childress in 1977, he opened a franchise of OTASCO on Main Street and is still operating at the 800 block of hwy. 287 as Lott Home Center. Johnnie was one who loved God, his family and his community. At Childress Church of Christ, he was a lifetime member and served as elder for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter, Lauren Lott. Survivors: Wife - June Lott of the home; 4 Daughters- LaDon Weston and husband, Greg of Ashland, OR., Terri Allen and husband, T.A., Altus, OK., Lee Ann Dean and husband, Scott, Childress, Joan Willis and husband, Tiger, Childress, Son - John Mark Lott and wife, Arica, Childress, 3 Sisters - Creta Voyles, San Angelo, Ellen Graham and husband, Jimmy, Childress, June Bassett and husband, Art, Childress, 15 Grandchildren - Randy Allen and wife, Haley, Emory Allen, Ara Barnett and husband, Heath; Caleb Weston and wife, Melissa, Titus Weston and wife, Tina, Micah Weston; Tanner Dean and wife, Hannah, Miranda McCurley and husband, Matt; Arlo Willis, Trent Willis, Sara Willis, Mark Willis; Coleman Lott, Bo Lott, Haggan Lott; Twelve great grandchildren
