Obituary for Jim Williams

Jim Bob Williams, age 64, died in Childress in April 12, 2008. Jim Bob was born January 20, 1944 to Kyle "Chinny" and Jetta Albright Williams. He and the former Rosie Germany married September 4, 1965 in Ft. Worth. They met while comparing the rolled interior of her "57 Ford to the interior of his "54. Jim Bob was a veteran who was enlisted in the U.S. Army. He retired from Lone Star Gas Co. as a service technician. He had farmed at Garden Valley since 1995. His grandson Sam was the light of his life. Jim also enjoyed gardening, shelling pecans for his family, and especially visiting over the fence with his neighbors. Jim is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his Wife-Rosie (Germany) Williams of Childress, Texas; Son-Rev. Terry Williams and wife Alisha of Perryton, Texas; Grandson-Samuel Cade William; Grandchild-Expected in October; Sister-Linda Gilliland and husband Floyd of Childress; Cousin-Jannas Watson and husband Bill of Childress; Sister-In-Law-Darlene Willis of Ft. Worth, Texas; Brother-in-law-Ronnie Germany and wife Penny of Payson, Ariz.; Nephew-Kyle Vannoy of Childress; Niece-Melissa Williams of Ft. Worth, Texas; Niece-Melanie "Squirt" Freeze of Childress; Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday, April 14, 2008 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM Rev. Norman Rushing officiating. Burial will be in the Childress Cemetery, arrangements made by Johnson Funeral Home.
