Geraldine Trammel, age 75, of Childress, Texas, died Friday, December 7, 2007. The former Geraldine "Jerry" Jackson married Jimmie Trammel Oct.21, 1950 in Quanah, Texas. They were married 55 Years. Family was always Jerry's greatest joy. Her hobbies included painting, sewing, crafts of all kinds, and especially collecting cardinals. In the early 1970's, she was a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church. Her faithfulness and support continued throughout the years. She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie, and one brother, Ray Jackson. She is survived by: Two Daughters, Daughter-Vicky McBride and husband Lynn of Childress, Texas; Daughter-Becky Hightower and husband Tommy of Childress; Two Sons, son-Jimmy Trammel and wife Gail of Childress; Son-Joe Trammel and wife Angie of Burleson, Texas; Three Sisters, Sister-Virginia Frazier of Borger; Sister-Joyce Holtman of Childress; Sister-Linda McDearmon of Grand Prairie; Two Brothers, Brother-Bobby Jackson of Lewisville; Brother-Jimmy Jackson of McDaniels, Ky.; Grandchildren, Christie Roys and Husband Delbert ; James McBride; Bobbie Hightower and Wife Stephanie; Karen Hightower; Emily Trammel; Sarah Trammel; Seth Trammel; Great Grandchildren, Blake Roys; Cole Hightower; Alyssa Hightower: Arrangements are being handled by Johnson Funeral Home, 307 Ave.C NW, Childress, Texas. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, December 9, 2007. Funeral service will be at First Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Monday, December 10, 2007 , Rev. Chad King and Kerry Wood officiating. Interment will be at Childress Cemetery.
