Obituary for Jerry W. Adams (Jerry Pops)
Chapel services will be held for Jerry Adams at Johnson Funeral Home Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
After retiring as an auto mechanic/service manager, Jerry began his hit internet radio show ‘Pops Live from Texas' ' in 2010, after a brief hiatus, and many broadcasts in between, his penultimate show aired June 6, 2021 with a final show to follow.
On January 19, 2022 Jerry Pops moved to the otherside of eternity to abide with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was born July 19, 1941 in Carnegie Oklahoma to John Adams and Mildred Nelson Adams.
He was preceded in eternal life by his parents, his sister Carol Givens, brother-in-law Gary Givens and his beloved cat Pistol.
Survivors include his wife Cathi Adams; brother Robert and wife Patricia Adams; three daughters, Jeanette Sherwood and husband Charles, Jeanenne Grayson, Janel Christian and husband Mark Christian; two sons Jerry W. Adams II and daughter-in-law Amanda Rasco Adams and Robbie O’Neal; eleven grandchildren, Charles Sherwood IV, Jonathan Sherwood, Sarah Sherwood, Venissa Wade, Katelyn Kay, Shelbi Boggs, Andrew Shafer, Austin Shafer, Faith Christian, Coleton Christian and Hudson Adams; and great grandchild Amelia Boggs.
