Obituary for Jeremy "Shorty" Martin
Funeral services for Jeremy “Shorty” Martin, 43, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at First Baptist Church with Ronnie Shoffner officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
He passed away December 12, 2022 in Childress.
Jeremiah Michael Martin was born April 13, 1979 in Memphis to Paul and Patty Martin. He grew up in Childress and was a 1997 graduate of Childress High School. He had the best sense of humor and was very charming. He was the life of the party and never met a stranger. He loved raising chickens and the Denver Broncos. He could build anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed singing karaoke. He loved his family and kids deeply and as very excited about the coming birth of his granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Pete and Lillian Nichols and Clarence and Nelly Martin and an aunt, Barbara Nichols.
Survivors include his parents, Paul and Patty Martin; a brother, Patrick Thomas and wife, Vasthy; a brother, Gary Hamilton and wife, Amy; his children, Cole Martin and Emily Grace, Casey Martin and Kazz Trosper; a nephew, Colton Hamilton and wife, Jessie; a great niece, Addison Grace; soon to be granddaughter, Ella Quincy and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Memorials may be made to CRMC Hospice.
