Graveside services for Jenny Lou Taylor, 84, will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Carey Cemetery with Dr. Craig Darter officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
She passed away February 28, 2022 in Wellington, Texas.
Jenny Lou Petty was born April 6, 1937 in Childress to Alvin A.T. Petty and Nona Dodd Petty.
She worked for the University of Texas Medical Center at Galveston for 15 years and was the administrator of the Childress County Heritage Museum for six years later in her life. She loved her grandkids and gardening. She enjoyed helping others and loved God more than anything.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and her husband, Albert Taylor.
Survivors include a daughter, Randi Murray and husband, Rodney; a son, Kevin Taylor and wife, Allison; a daughter, Stephanie Martin and husband, Kevin; grandchildren Brandon Proctor and wife, Nathalie, Brent Fuller and wife, Jennifer, Caitlin Morris and husband, John, Teysha Casey and husband, Will, Gash Murray and wife, MacKenzie, Seth Taylor, Kate Taylor, Carlee Martin, Kelli Gonzalez and Carrie Harrington and six great grandchildren.
