Obituary for James "J.B." Wyatt

James Byron "J.B." Wyatt, age 91, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Childress, TX. Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2014 in First United Methodist Church with Rev. Johnny Robertson officiating and Rev. Lou Ellerbrook assisting. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. J.B. Wyatt was born to A.B. and Annie Wyatt on March 3, 1923. He married Margaret Knight on April 12, 1946. J.B. loved farming and worked for U.S.D.A. doing farm surveys. However, due to drought conditions during the 50's, they moved to Wichita, Kansas so J.B. could work for O.A. Sutton Corporation. When the drought ended, his love for farming brought him and Margaret back to the farm during the 60's. His favorite passtime was playing dominoes. He enjoyed spending winters in the Valley and summers in Red River. J.B. is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Edwin and Duane Wyatt.
