Services for "Dude" Lawrence will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in First United Methodist Church with Mark Keys and Rev. Lou Ellerbrook officiating . Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM James was born Sunday, August 01, 1937 in Paducah, TX to S.D. and Audie Mae Lawrence. Dude met the love of his life, Janis, and they were married for 53 years. To celebrate their 50th anniversary, they went on a cruise with their family. He was a loving father who loved his family. He worked for TXDOT for 37 years. Dude also loved the mountains in the summer time. He is preceded in death by his father, S.D. Lawrence Sr., mother, Audie Mae Lawrence, and brother, S.D. Lawrence Jr. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to CRMC Hospice or Meals on Wheels.
