Obituary for James Hackler

James Ray Hackler, 88, lifelong resident of Childress County achieved his final victory and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday November 6, 2020.
He was born August 11, 1932 in Childress to James Monroe and Gladys Newman Hackler. He graduated from Community Center High School in 1949. After working on the family farm for a few years, he was drafted into the US Army for two years. Upon being honorably discharged, he returned to Childress and began working for FW&D Railroad in the storekeeper’s office.
He married Carolyn Burton on February 27, 1960 in Childress and begin to farm and ranch fulltime. He was a member of Westhill Community Church. He served as Director of Farm Bureau Insurance Company where he was a past President. He also served as a Director of the Farmers Co-op Gin.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn of the home, three daughters, Kim Porter of the Woodlands, Karen Franco of Childress, Kelli Tiffin and husband Randy of Amarillo, one son Kevin Hackler and wife Keely of Childress. He also survived by nine grandchildren, Jordan Franco, Sarah and husband Nathan Curtis, Colton Klapper, Tyler Tiffin and fiancé Madison Jennings, Logan Hackler, Landon Hackler-Coke, Klancy Franco, Kaidance Hackler, Tripp Tippett, three great-grandchildren Gavin Tiffin, Kaylem and Mia Curtis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Jerry and his wife Naomi Hackler. A celebration of life service was held Sunday November 8, at Westhill Community Church.
