Obituary for Jackie Konecny
Jackie Chapman Konecny, age 87, passed away in Childress, TX on April 7, 2019.
Memorial services will be at 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church of Childress with Terry Williams officiating. Memorial graveside services will be held on the following day at 11:00am, Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Memory Gardens of Amarillo with Terry Williams officiating.
Jackie was born on August 3, 1931 in Cottle County to Kenneth Chapman and Fay (Love) Chapman. When Jackie was younger, she and her husband Roy loved to square dance. They also loved to travel overland, as well as go on cruises. She loved her dogs, miniature donkeys and the cattle on her land. She was an avid watcher of western movies and was always on her TV when you entered her home. Her family is thankful for her cousin, Daryl Montgomery, for his caring love.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy Konecny, and her sister Reba Tucker.
Jackie is survived by her son, Stan Chapman and wife, Debbie of Childress, TX; brother, Myrl Chapman and wife, Nancy of Kerrville, TX; sister, Sarah Hudlow and husband, Mike of Corpus Christi, TX; brother, John Chapman and wife, Willie of Clarksville, IN; grandchildren, Jake Chapman and wife, Kelsi, and Kade Chapman and wife, Crystal, all of Childress, TX; great grandchildren, Kasen Chapman, Slade Chapman, Bryar Chapman and Hudsyn Chapman, all of Childress, TX; cousin, Daryl Montgomery of Long Island, NY; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
