Obituary for Inez Dorman

Inez Exa Dorman, age 90, passed away on January 9, 2017 in Childress, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Wilson and Pastor Lou Ellerbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Inez was born on December 10, 1926 in Flomot, Texas to James Luther and Pearl Izoria (Hatley) Boyd. She was married for fifty-six years to Paul Pierce Dorman. She was a loving mother that instilled Christian values in her three children. She took pride in creating a beautiful environment within her home. Her family brought her great joy. She worked in banking in Childress prior to moving to Fort Worth, Texas where she continued her career in the banking industry. She accomplished a banking certification through Tarrant County Junior College. Inez was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Pierce Dorman in 1998, her twin brother James Luther Boyd Jr. in 2006, an infant brother Jimmy Boyd, and a sister who died in childhood, Isabell Boyd. Survivors include two sons, Dr. James Paul Dorman and wife, Pam of Boerne, TX, and Gary Don Dorman and wife, Janeice of Weatherford, TX; one daughter, Paulette Martin and husband, Gary Don of Childress; eight grandchildren, Maria Arnold, Laura Wallace, April Donihi, Julie Hasty, Ashley Barnett, Amy Wauhob, Jennifer Smith and Jessica Burt; eighteen great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jack, Kate and Grace Arnold, Robbie, Collin and John Paul Wallace, Reece and Connor Donihi, Devin and Liam Hasty, Hannah, Caleb and Hope Barnett, Jenna and Jaime Smith, and Stevi and Scotti Burt; and numerous extended family and friends. She had a special caregiver and friend, Rosie Jamarillo who helped take care of her during the last five years of her life. She loved her special four-legged friend, in which she called, “Andy Dorman”. Memorial donations may be made to Childress Meals on Wheels or to the American Heart Association.
