Obituary for Harold Wheeler

Harold Wheeler, age 82, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Estelline with Anthony Knowles and Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Harold was born in 1933 in Clarendon, Texas to E.G. “Shorty” and Dovie Mae (Mangham) Wheeler. A hard worker, Harold was self-employed most of his life and was a great entrepreneur with business savvy. Very intelligent, he was able to operate and navigate through technology with ease. A Christian man, Harold went to church every Sunday and religiously read his Bible. He enjoyed talking and telling stories, and loved watching football. Above all else, he was a devout family man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren, and was a Godly example of what a husband and father is. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Grant and Dovie Mae (Mangham)Wheeler. Survivors include his wife, Frances Dee Wheeler of Parnell; daughter Nimra Stuckey and husband, Joe of Bella Vista, AR; son Danny Wheeler and wife, Sherry of Peoria, AZ; daughter Cindy Wall and husband, Lonnie of Clovis, NM; son Mike Wheeler and wife, Paige of Clovis, NM; one brother Billy Wheeler and wife, Janice of Turkey, TX; grandchildren Sherah Alaimo and husband, Derrick, Joshua Stuckey, Sam Stuckey and wife, Bethany, Ben Stuckey and wife, Lyndsay, Jacob Stuckey, Andrea Carter and husband, Jason, Holly Wheeler, Matthew Wall and wife, Lauren, Trevor Wall and wife, Erin, Zeke Wheeler and wife, Hannah, Cade Wheeler and Boone Wheeler; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. For those desiring, memorial donations may be made to the Mission Cooperative Program at First Baptist Church of Estelline.
