Obituary for H. Morris Jr.

H.B. “Buddie” Morris Jr., 92 years old, passed away December 20, 2013. Services are scheduled for 3:00pm on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Carey Baptist Church whith Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. Family visitation will be from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm, Monday, December 23, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home. Buddie was born July 29, 1921 to Hubert and Carrie Morris. Buddie married Rudell Schronk on April 10, 1946 in Malone, TX. They lived in Childress, TX where Buddie worked for Childress County as a road grader operator. Buddie also served in the United States Army from September 1942 until March of 1946. Buddie was very proud of his job at Childress County and to have served our country during World War II. He enjoyed telling stories of World War II and of how he met Rudell. Buddie was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Carrie Morris; wife, Rudell Morris and 3 sisters. Buddie is survived by Daughter-Linda Miller and husband Don of Westcliffe, CO. Son-Ron Morris and wife Marsha of Sunray, TX. Granddaughter-Christie Jones and husband Jason and Great Granddaughter-Layla of Amarillo. Granddaughter Lisa West and husband Jason and Great Granddaughter-Sophia and Great Grandson-Liam of Dumas, TX. Granddaughter-Lori Brazeal and husband Jeremy of Dumas, TX. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Buddie was especially proud of “Papa’s Angels” his Granddaughters and his Great Grandchildren. Buddie will be missed greatly by his family and friends, but are comforted to know he is in Heaven with his wife Rudell “Mama”. The family would like to say a very special thank you to Childress Healthcare Center and Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospice for the excellent care they have provided.
