Glenn E. Carroll, age 77, passed away on July 2, 2016, in Lubbock, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Childress with Rev. Chad King officiating and Dr. Mike Henderson assisting. Burial will immediately follow in the Carroll Family Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Family visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, July 4, 2016. Glenn was born in Foard County on February 24, 1939 to C.M. Carroll and Veneta (Hall) Carroll. He was a simple man who was good at what he did. He was task oriented and was always on top of what needed to be done. He was a clock jobber who had a passion for fixing clocks. He was also a pumper who maintained all of the oil pumps on his property. He raised registered limousine and black angus cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Carroll; granddaughter, Emma Carroll; wife, Peggy Carroll; son-in-law, Roger Branson. Survivors include: Wife – Neweta Carroll of Childress, TX Daughter – Janelda Moore and husband Bobby of Littlefield, TX Daughter – Tammy Anderson and fiancé, Ira of Lubbock, TX Daughter – Dana Skinner and husband, Fred of Cee Vee, TX Daughter-in-law – Lauren Davis and husband, Lance of Childress, TX Daughter – Jennifer Pritt and husband, Eric of Childress, TX Son – Jeff G.
