Funeral services for Geraldine Mitchell, 87, will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Childress Methodist Church with Dr. Mike Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
She passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Childress.
Geraldine Halford was born May 15, 1935 in Childress to Buster Halford and Rosalee Hunt Halford.
She loved her family and enjoyed cooking. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her garden and her flowers and enjoyed her friends. She also loved to eat out and travel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Jutta Seal, husband, Carroll Seal and husband, Dick Mitchell.
Survivors include a son, Clay Seal and Martha; a daughter, Darla Seal; grandchildren, Caleb Seal and wife, Tiffany, Mark Seal and wife, Kira, Kyle Hale and husband, Mike, Kevin Hale, Klint Hale and Colby Seal and wife, Sage; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Harold Halford; a sister, Linda Blackburn; daughter-in-law, Karen Seal and numerous extended family members and friends.
