Funeral services for Georgia Whitten, 94, will be held Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10 a.m. at the Parkview Baptist Church with Don McFarland officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home. She passed away Monday, January 13, 2020. She was born July 2, 1925 to Henry and Lona Burch Evans. She was a housewife. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd Whitten and 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include a son, Charley Whitten and wife, Linda Kay, of Childress; a daughter, Odessa Channell of Hollis, Okla.; two sisters, Betty Atchley of Childress and Nora Chandler and husband, Charles, of Midland along with numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
