Obituary for Geneva Bourgeois (Trammel)

Geneva Bourgeois, 79, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Childress. Private graveside services are being held and a public memorial service will be at a later date.
She was born March 3, 1941 in Quanah to William (Buddy) Trammel and Pearl Edra Trammel.
She married Donald Bourgeois in 1978 in Altus, Oklahoma. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church of Childress and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. She was an awesome mother and a most fantastic artist with some of her works displayed in the museum in Pago Pago, American Samoa. She was also a very good baker and quilter, and enjoyed ceramics, glass etching and painting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kelly Lynn Wesley and Donald Frederick Bourgeois, Jr.; mother-in-law, Gladys M. Bourgeois and father-in-law, Joseph Frederick Bourgeois.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Bourgeois of Childress; a son, James R. Wesley of Amarillo; a daughter, Rita K. Scott of Childress; a daughter, Judy B. Ragon of Childress; a son, Joseph Bourgeois of Childress; a daughter, Marchelle Zuber of Childress; a daughter, Yvonne Smith of Jackson, Tennessee and a daughter, Yvette Wise of DeFuniaks Springs, Florida.
