Obituary for Freddy Cast
Freddy Cast, age 82, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 in Childress, Texas.
Services will be held at 10:30am, Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Joe E. Jones Memorial Chapel in Childress Cemetery with Randy Wilson officiating.
Family visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday, June 24, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home.
Freddy was born on May 25, 1937 to William Marion Cast and Hazel Opal Rives Cast in Lawton, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, June Siglar Cast on April 29, 1958 and they were married for 61 years. Freddy worked for Gate City Electric for 50+ years. He had many hobbies such as playing guitar, gardening and woodworking, in which he made toy boxes for all of his great grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling with June. He loved being “Pa Paw” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren most of all.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Meryl Page; 3 brothers, Billy, Jacky and Ronald Cast.
Freddy is survived by his wife, June Cast of Childress, TX; son, Danny Cast of Childress, TX; daughter, Sheila Rogers and husband, David of Morrison, OK; sister, Mickie Taylor of Elk City, OK; granddaughter, Jennifer West and husband, David of Midwest City, OK; granddaughter, Amanda Wright and husband, Jermaine of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughter, Jon Ann Kinsley and husband, Raymond of Midwest City, OK.; great grandchildren, Braden West, Brock West, Mollie West, Megan West, Chance Wright, Malachi Wright, Kendal Wright, Brynna Kinsley, Benjamin Kinsley, and Bryce Kinsley; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
