Fred Leroy Folk, age 83, passed away on November 01, 2017 in Childress, TX. Funeral Services will be at 10:00am, Monday, November 06, 2017 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Chad King officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will immediately follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wellington, TX under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Fred was born on November 23, 1933 in Pontiac, IL to Floyd Folk and Maude (Scott) Folk. Fred was a loving and understanding husband. He was a lovable person and considered all of his friends as family. He believed everyone deserves a second chance. Fred was also a versatile person who could fix anything. He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Robert Folk, James Folk and Eugene Folk; son, Richard Folk; 2 grandsons, Justin Folk and Kyle Folk; Son-in-law, Gene Dawson. Fred is survived by: Wife - Gloria Folk of Childress, TX Sister - Sharon of Illinois Son - Kenneth Folk of Colorado Daughter - Christine Fosdick and husband, Paul of Guymon, OK Daughter - Cindy Sullivan of Childress, TX Daughter - Isabel Dawson of Childress, TX Daughter - Eva Wheeler and husband, Bill of Childress, TX Several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchild.
