Obituary for Frank (Pancho) E. Ibarra

Funeral mass for Frank (Pancho) E. Ibarra, 85, will be held Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 10 a.m. with Father Raj Samala officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rosary will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
He passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 in Childress.
Frank was born February 24, 1936 in Marquez, Texas to Juan Ibarra and Maria Esquivel. He worked at Lancer Mobile Homes from 1974 until it closed. He then started his own business, Frank’s Lawn Service. He worked as a yardman for over 35 years and took great pride in his work. He made sure he did the best work and his client would be happy.
He loved his family very much and his kids and grandkids. But he was a very strong willed man and he instilled strong values in his children and shaped them into the people they are today.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alejandrina; two sons, Joe Ibarra and Jimmy Ibarra; his parents, Juan and Maria; two brothers, Juan Ibarra and Thomas Ibarra; daughter-in-law, Ninfa Ibarra; a grandson, Christian Ibarra and a great granddaughter, Jazzlee Wilson.
Survivors include his children, Jesus Ibarra, Mary Galvan and husband, Blas, Linda I. Gonzales and husband, Juan, Randy Ibarra and wife, Cyndy, and Guadalupe “Pete” Ibarra and wife, Sonya; grandchildren Elisa Ibarra, Juan “Frankie” Gonzales, Javier “Erik” Gonzales, Vanessa Ibarra, Gilbert Longoria, Jr. and wife, Erica, Israel Longoria, Elizabeth Stephenson and husband, Shane, and Ethan Ibarra; great grandchildren, Justin Ibarra, Jayden Ibarra, Jasper Wilson, Haven Mata, Isaac Schlinker, Emery Longoria, Malachi Longoria; a brother, Juan Meza of Carrizo Springs, Texas and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family suggest memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer/Dementia foundations.
