Fannie Thaten, age 86, passed away on August 23, 2018. Services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Joe E. Jones Memorial Chapel with Ronnie Shoffner in Childress Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Fannie was born on July 6, 1032 to Clifford Howard and Beulah Mae (Reeves) Howard.  She was a perfectionist who loved her kids and family. She loved to travel and go shopping, as well as go out to eat.  She was a great cook and an excellent seamstress. Fannie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George “Pat” Thaten; one son, Clifford Marshall Thaten; 6 siblings; a sister-in-law, Dortha Howard; and a great-great granddaughter, Sophie Burrows. Survivors include: two daughters, Patti Holmes and husband, William Holmes Jr. of Childress, TX, and Betti Lanham and husband, Billy of Childress, TX; two brothers, Milton Howard of Childress, TX and Dan Howard of Childress, TX; four grandchildren, Michie Burrows and husband Royce, Cheryl Brown and husband Joseph Victor, William Holmes and Koty Holmes; two Great-Grandchildren, Dakota Burrows and Stormy Burrows; three Great-Great Grandchildren, Enzley Burrows, Isabella Burrows and Wyatt Whitten; and several extended family and friends.
