Obituary for Eura Belle Dudley

Graveside services for Eura Belle (Rickman) (Jones) Dudley, 92, will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Kirkland Cemetery with Jason Stidham officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.

She was born August 31, 1931 in Childress, Texas went to her heavenly home September 29, 2023. She was a loving mother who cared for and nurtured her two daughters Darlene Lacy and Dorcas Vivens, both of Kingsland Texas.

Although Belle (as known in Turkey, Texas where she lived most of her adult life) worked various jobs she worked primarily in banking. She was active in First Baptist Church of Turkey and supported school activities as needed by baking for bake sales and raffles, working concession stands at sporting events and helped with costumes as needed for church or school. Her hobbies included sewing and quilting. She canned fruit and vegetables in season and the community believed she made the very best wild plum jelly ever made.

She is survived by two daughters, Darlene and husband Johnny Lacy and Dorcas Vivens. Three grandsons, Jacky Lacy and wife Crystal, Billy Don Vivens and wife Clarissa, Buddy Vivens. One granddaughter Laura and husband Lyndon Cook. Five great grandsons; Gage Lacy, Alex Vivens, and Grant Vivens, Logan Cook and Luke Cook and one great granddaughter Kiana Vivens. Two sisters, Odessa Nance and Janelle Gribble and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, O.J. and Maggie Rickman, a brother Don Rickman, son-in-law Billy Vivens, a granddaughter Verna Vivens and great granddaughter Chloe Vivens.
