Estelle Gibson, age 90, died Thursday, September 26, 2013 in Childress. Services will be at 11:00AM Saturday, September 28, 2013 in First Baptist Church with Rev. Chad King officiating . Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Estelle was born February 14, 1923 in Lazare, Texas to Tom and Blanche Hodges Pearce. She was an elementary school teacher in Sunray from 1950 to 1961, in Stinnett from 1961 to 1981, then taught several years at Childress Elementary until retirement. She was a member of TSTA, CRTA Retired Teachers, Hospital Auxiliary, and First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, T.C.
