Edward Barnes, age 98, died Friday, September 21, 2012 in Amarillo. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in Childress Cemetery with Rev. Billye Hughes officiating . Edward was born February 13, 1914 in Sequin, Texas to Will Allen and Lulla Wilson Barnes. He and wife, Idonia married December 15, 1976 in Altus, Ok. Edward worked for West Texas Utilities of Childress for thirteen years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Childress.
