Edelmira (Gonzalez) Pando, age 61, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 10 AM in the Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Nick Gerber officiating.  Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rosary will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Edelmira was born on July 13, 1957 in Celina, Ohio to Vicente and Maria Elisa (Arteaga) Gonzalez. She was a loving mother who loved to cook, and was a wonderful friend to many.  She also loved to sing.  She loved her family, was a loving Nani, and always smiled when any kid called her Nani. Edelmira was preceded in death by her parents Vicente and Maria Elisa (Alice) Gonzalez, and a brother Gilberto Gonzalez. Survivors include her husband, Luis R. Pando of Childress; daughter, Sylvia Guerra of Childress; son, Salvador Pando and wife, Tiffany of Shelbyville, TN; sisters, Irene Hernandez and Elma Vitela both of Childress; grandchildren, Dakota Guerra, Elyssa Guerra, and Eryka Martinez all of Childress, and Nicolas Pando and Aaron Pando of Shelbyville, TN; niece and nephews, Robert Hernandez, Monica Baldwin, Ben Vitela, and Matthew Vitela; several great-nieces & nephews, and many uncles, aunts and numerous cousins.
