Obituary for Earnie Mae Anderson

Graveside services for Mrs. Earnie Mae Anderson will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Childress Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
She was born December 17, 1948 in Savannah, Georgia to Earlene Bennett and Ernie Jones. She moved to Childress in 1957. She attended J.J. Rhoades schools. She completed her education in 1970 as well as her nurse’s aide training. She married the love of her life, Joe Robert Anderson, on February 13, 1964. To this union was born three daughters.
She was employed as a presser at Royal Park/GlenTex Fashions. For the last 20 years she was employed as a private duty caretaker. She was also seamstress. She loved to crochet and crocheted many afghans, tissue holders, and dolls. She loved learning new patterns, watching shows and getting new ideas and even trying some of them out. She was a devoted daughter, loving wife, great mother and best Granny and Grammy ever!
She was a faithful member of Laster’s Chapel COGIC and First Church of God In Christ, where she served in a number of capacities, Sunday School teacher, Sunday School superintendent, church secretary, choir president, and Sunshine Band and Purity Class president among others things.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Anderson, her parents and grandparents.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Angela Anderson O’Bryant, spouse, Marvin, of Mesquite, Texas, Darla Anderson of Childress, Miranda Stallings, spouse, Byron, of Fort Worth; brother, Willie E Jones, Jr, of Childress; her #1 grandson, Jonathan Robert Anderson of Fort Worth, her #1 granddaughter, Maegan Danene Anderson of Fort Worth, her adopted son, Peter Moore of Fort Worth, her sister-in-law, Oreva Vajdl, her brother-in-law, Rev. Cecil R. Jones, her aunt, Gracie Anderson, her cousins Mary Ann Tucker and Arthur Jordan Jr, her sister in Christ, Sister Lillie M. Smith and a host of other of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
