Graveside services for Dorothy Miller, 86, will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Childress Cemetery with Dr. Mike Henderson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
She passed away November 15, 2023 in Amarillo.
Dorothy Russell was born May 13, 1937 in Childress to Lawrence Russell and Lucy Smiley Russell.
She was very neat and tidy. Everything had a place. She loved to cook. When Tammy was a child, she made all of her clothes. She loved thrift stores and shopping for antiques. She was a quiet lady. She enjoyed watching old westerns and cooking shows.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald Miller.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Williams and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Erick Williams, Dustin Williams and Kaitlyn Killham; a sister, Linda Asaph; a sister-in-law, Glenda Gibson and eight great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Childress Meals on Wheels.
