Graveside services for Dorothy "Dottie" Jones will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00PM at Joe E. Jones Chapel in Childress Cemetery. Dorothy was born on April 21, 1925 in Canadian, Texas to Claude Victor and Margaret Deshazo Johnson. As a young girl, she and friend, Irma Custer, would entertain locally with their vocal talents. After graduation from high school, she worked for Montgomery Wards for several years. After moving to California, she was employed with Boeing Aircraft. While working for Boeing, she attended university and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering. She was Baptist. She is survived by: 4 sisters: Donna Korthals of Childress; Claudie Wilson of Sacremento, Ca.; Camilla Cagle of Ft. Worth; Mary Burrows of Childress; Numerous Nieces and Nephews
