Dorothy Helen Burchett, age 91, died on Sunday, September 3, 2017 in Childress. Graveside services will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 in Childress Cemetery with Kerry Wood officiating. Burial is under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Dorothy was born on December 30, 1925 in Childress to Henry Frank and Mary Jane Osborne Moseley. Dorothy was married to Don Harrison Burchett. Dorothy took great pride in making her house a home, and she was very good at making anyone who came by feel welcome and they left knowing she cared. She was very musically talented, and played the piano, organ and even composed some songs. She loved country music. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don, her son, David, and her parents. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Myrl Burchett; a nephew, Larry Moseley and wife Mary Jane; and two cousins. Memorials may be made to Childress Meals On Wheels.
