Obituary for Doris Arnn

Doris Arnn, age 89, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Jody Brown officiating.   Graveside services will be at 2:30 in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 6 to 7 PM at Johnson Funeral Home.
Doris was born on December 14, 1928 in Childress to Ernest and Bertha Bernice (Simmons) Andrews.   She married William Ester Arnn on April 6, 1946 in Childress and they shared many years together in love and laughter.
Doris was a hard worker, and had her own housekeeping business after her children were grown.   She loved to cook, and her Sunday dinners were enjoyed by her family on many occasions.   She also loved to fish, and she and her husband enjoyed many fishing trips together.   A world traveler, Doris loved to go places, and had taken trips to London, Alaska, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, among others.
Above all else, Doris was a dedicated Christian woman.   She loved to talk about the Bible, and rarely missed a meeting at the Kingdom Hall.   She taught her family the importance of living a Godly life.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, granddaughter Pamela Lankford, brothers Sonny Andrews, Roy Dean Andrews and Donnie Andrews, and son-in-law Clifton Hodges.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Miller and husband, Wayne, and Shirley Hodges; two sons, Dusty Arnn and wife, Judy, and Randy Arnn and wife, Karen; two sisters, Kay Webb and Eljuana Criddle; three brothers, Jimmy Andrews, Roger Andrews and Rodney Andrews; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
