Graveside services for Donald Taber will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 2:00PM the Joe E. Jones chapel at the Childress Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Shoffner officiating. Donald Taber was born on August 4, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to William and Gladys Erickson Taber. Don served in Okinawa during the Vietnam War. He served in the National Guard in Indiana(Evansville) and in Texas. Don was proud to be an American. He was named Boy of the Year when he was 14 years of age. He was an avid sports fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and father-in law Ronald Burchett. He is survived by: Wife, Ronda Taber of Lubbock; Mother-in-law, Myrl Burchett of Childress 2 Brothers, Bobby Hill and Jim Taber of California; 1 stepson and 1 stepdaughter Nichols family
