Obituary for Donald Owens
Donald Dean “Jack” Owens, 88, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 in Wichita Falls. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
He was born April 30, 1932 in Childress to Douglas E. Owens and Ima Treadwell Owens.
He married Wanda Jane Bass November 2, 1952 before joining the Army in January of 1953 where he served until December of 1954.
He was a transmission mechanic and loved working on cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his siblings and a son, Douglas Owens.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Bourland and husband, Don of Childress; a son, Kenneth Owens and wife, Stacy, of Owensboro, Kentucky; grandchildren Diana McCarty and husband, Cory, of Childress; Joey Bourland and wife, Krista, of Childress; Chris Owens of Abilene; Haley Burns and husband, Justin, of Owensboro, Kentucky; and Chelsea Pearre and husband, Michael, of Owensboro, Kentucky; great grandchildren, Austin McCarty, Taylor McCarty, Jocelyn Bourland, Aniya Lewis, Jaden Foley, Joseph Bourland, Jordan Bourland and Janse Bourland all of Childress, Spence Owens of Abilene and Wyatt Burns of Owensboro, Kentucky.
