Funeral services for Donald D. Miller, 87, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Childress Church of Christ with Dr. Mike Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home.
He passed away January 25, 2022.
Donald D. Miller was born November 30, 1934 in Tell, Texas to Carl Miller and Lena A. McFatridge. He married Dorothy Russell October 10, 1953 in Hollis, Okla. He was an award-winning farmer winning Outstanding Conservation Farmer of 1975, Comeback Farmer in 1970 and Childress Jaycees Outstanding Young Farmer in 1971.
He loved being outdoors, fishing and going to the coffee shop to visit his friends. He always told you he loved you when he talked on the phone. He was always willing to help others and was an amazing Daddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Bonnie Smith and Irene Morris and a brother, Jimmy Miller.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Miller; his daughter, Tammy Williams and husband, Mark; three grandchildren Erick Williams, Dustin Williams and Kaitlyn Killham; a sister, Glenda Gibson and seven great grandchildren.
