Don Bourland, 72, passed away January 13, 2023 in Childress.
Memorial services will be at 10:00am, Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church in Childress, TX.
Don Leaman Bourland was born October 2, 1950 to Juanita Bilbrey and Jay Bourland in Memphis. He loved his career of painting and several houses and businesses in the area have his mark on them. Don was an entertainer. He was always the life of the party. His final joke was leaving on Friday the 13th.
He married Cynthia Sisco on December 15, 1975 and left this world with her by his side along with several other family members.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Bourland, of Childress; a daughter, Diana McCarty and husband, Cory, of Childress; a son, Joey Bourland; eight grandchildren, Jaden Waller and husband, Cameron, of Memphis, Joseph Bourland of Childress, Jordan Bourland of Childress, Austin McCarty and wife, Mady, of Childress, Taylor, Jocelyn and Aniya McCarty all of Childress and Janse Bourland of Childress; great granddaughters, Charlie Kate Waller of Memphis, TX, Terra Ann Bourland of Canyon, TX, Ava Lyn McCarty (due July 15, 2023) of Childress, TX, and 2 more great grandchildren on the way; a brother, Jerry Bourland, of Shamrock; a sister, Ann Gray and husband, Danny, of Rockport along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family that he loved dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Fairy Lou West and a great grandchild, Jordan Leah Bourland.
