Dominga "Wella" Hernandez,  age  91,  died   Sunday, March 16, 2014 in  Amarillo. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 21, 2014 in Holy Angels Catholic Church  with Father David Contreras officiating . Burial will be in  Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Dominga was born on December 20, 1922 in Gonzales, Texas to Ramon and Francisca (Gonzales) Vitella.  She loved to cook for everyone, and if you came to her house you had to eat.  Her house was always open, and you could expect a pot of beans to be cooking if you told her you were coming to visit.   Dominga loved people and her family, and loved for everyone to call her "Wella".  She also liked to crochet, knit and quilt. An avid gardener, she loved to work in her yard and garden, and had the most beautiful yard around.  Dominga was also a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church. Dominga was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, three grandsons and one great-grandson.
