Obituary for Devin Smith Sr.
Devin Ryan Smith Sr., age 56, passed away on March 30, 2019 in Childress, TX.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm, Wednesday, April 03, 2019 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Chad King officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
Devin was born in Childress, Texas on November 20, 1962 to Jimmy Smith and Edna (Huth) Smith. Devin was an excellent conversationalist. He supported the 4-H on Ag Day by catching wild hogs and taking to the event to showcase for the students. He loved horses and was an outdoors type guy.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Smith.
Devin is survived by his son, Devin "Ryan" Smith Jr. and fiancé, Kaiten Redentbaugh of Childress, TX.; mother, Edna Mae Smith of Childress, TX; sister, Tanya Smith of Childress, TX; brother, Darin Smith of Abilene, TX; his expected grandchild; nephews, Chasen Smith of Chicago, IL, Clint Smith of Childress, TX and Mathew Smith of Childress, TX and numerous extended family.
