Obituary for Denny Fuston
Memorial services for Denny Fuston, 79, of Turkey will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Turkey Church of Christ with Stuart Smith officiating. Services are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
He passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 in Turkey.
He was born on Christmas Day in 1941 to John Thomas Fuston and Alice George Fuston.
He married his high school sweetheart, Mitchie House, in 1963. He spent his adult life as a farmer and rancher and was passionate about cattle. He was the High Individual in Cattle at the 1964 American Royal Judging Contest and had the Champion Hereford Heifer at the 1962 Amarillo Stock Show. He was also an advisor with the Junior Hereford Association. His favorite things were watching his grandson show good Hereford cattle, feeding and raising good livestock, helping 4-H and FFA kids with livestock projects, playing cards with friends and the Dallas Cowboys.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ruth Lyles, a brother, James Fuston and a sister, Loetta Ferguson.
Survivors include his wife, Mitchie of Turkey; a son, Mike Fuston and Mickie of Turkey; a daughter, Lesia Schnitker of Turkey; a grandson, J.D. Schnitker of Turkey; a brother, Johnny Fuston and wife, Joanie of Saginaw, Texas along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Turkey Church of Christ, 501 Bell Avenue, Turkey, Texas, 79261.
