Dennis Ray "Poppy/Poppo" Willis, age 69, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Childress Church of Christ with Dr. Craig Darter officiating with the assistance by Trey Morgan and Don McFarland.  Burial will immediately follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Family visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home.  Dennis was born in Quanah, TX on March 25, 1947 to Arlo Willis and Tommie McDonald Willis.   Dennis was married to the love of his life, Dianne for 50 years.  He owned and operated their family business, Crossroads Tire Services, for 46 years.  He loved his family more than life itself and you couldn't ask for a better husband, father and grandfather.  He loved  fishing, hunting, skeet and trap shooting and taught many 4-H kids how to shoot, as well as, his children and grandchildren.  He taught all of his children how to work hard and take care of their families.  He gave nicknames to all those he loved. Grandchildren- Brandon Proctor and wife Nathalie of Los Vegas, Nv. Kinsley Lester and husband Danny of San Angelo, Tx. Kailey Delavan and husband Mike of San Angelo Seth Willis and wife Kaitlyn of Lubbock, Tx. Arlo, Trent, Sara and Mark Willis of Childress, Tx. Josey and Jessey Bonney of Childress, Tx.
