Obituary for Danny Roberts
Funeral services for Danny Roberts, 60, will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with Terry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
He passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 in Norman, Okla.
Danny Lynn Roberts was born August 29, 1960 in Plainview to Cleon Roberts and Rosada Phillips Bridges. He worked in signal maintenance for the railroad. He loved fishing and had to be the first to have the newest electronics. He was very protective of his travel mugs and was a good on-the-job teacher for his fellow employees. He was a great man and loved his kids and always wanted them around. He was a hard worker with a great sense of humor. He contended that the band Journey was a fake rock group. He was an avid watcher of the news and liked to keep up with world events. He loved baseball and played and coached. He enjoyed cycling. He was always the one taking the photos and videos and never was in the photos. He was a quiet man and was the glue of his family.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Denise Burt, and a niece, Carly Burt.
Survivors include his wife, Andora Roberts of Norman, Okla.; his mother, Rosada Bridges of Amarillo; his father and stepmother, Cleon and Lily Roberts, of Hereford; four brothers, David Roberts and wife, Tavia, of Canyon, Dewayne Burt and wife, Janita, of Norman, Okla., Kaade Roberts of Albuquerque, N.M., and Tim Burt of Baltimore, Maryland; one sister, Bonnie Chavez and husband, Solomon, of Albuquerque, N.M.; children Callan Horton of Pampa and Zachary Roberts of Norman, Okla.; two granddaughters Sophia Rodriguez and GraceLee Horton of Pampa and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
