Dannie Tiffin, age 62 of Childress, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Childress Church of Christ with Dr. Mike Henderson officiating.   Burial will be in Quitaque Cemetery at 2 PM with Stewart Smith, Pastor of Turkey Church of Christ, officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, April 4, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Dannie was born on February 18, 1952 in Plainview, Texas to Joe Henry and Pauline (Speiker) Tiffin.   He married Keitha Beck on February 27, 1986.   Dannie was a hard worker, a caring and giving person, and was always willing to lend a hand to help someone.   A wealth of knowledge on many subjects, others looked to him when they had a question, problem, or were just in need of an uplifting conversation because he loved to talk and listen.   He was a great person to be around, fun-loving, and never met a stranger. A collector of many things, he loved old cars, guns, auctions, cooking and making dishes from his garden, was a wine connoisseur, and playing golf.   Loved by all who knew him, Dannie was especially dear to the Childress Elks Lodge #1113 and the Childress Country Club where he was a member. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend and left behind a legacy of love and friendship. He was preceded in death by one brother, J.P. Tiffin, and his parents. Survivors include his wife, Keitha, of the home; three sons, Randy and wife, Kelli, and John and wife, Holly, all of Amarillo; and Artumus and wife, Christeena, of Port Orchard, WA; one sister, Peggie Wilkerson of Sulphur Springs, TX; one brother, Johnny Tiffin of Silverton, TX; and seven grandchildren, Tyler, Aleshia, Tate, Amberly, Tanner, Marshall and Viveann.
