Obituary for Daniel Imhof

Memorial services for Daniel F. Imhof, 81, will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Childress Church of Christ with Trey Morgan officiating.
He passed away August 18, 2022 in Childress.
Daniel Fredric Imhof was born September 12, 1940 to August Imhof and Helen Tinkham Imhof in Yuma, Colorado.
After graduating high school, he served his Country in the U.S. Army in the late 1950s. When his service was complete, he married Catherine Walker on February 10, 1961.
He loved to spend time in his shop and could fix anything. He just loved to tinker and loved to work on anything with a motor. He was especially talented in making things work even if he had to fabricate the part to make it work himself. In his professional career, he was a mail carrier in Childress for many years and later served Childress County as the Commissioner of Precinct 2 for 20 years. He enjoyed morning coffee at the Roundtable with close friends. Above all, he loved his family very much and was very proud of the kind of people they are.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Catherine Walker Imhof and two sisters, Virginia Dawson and Janet Blacksher.
Survivors include a son, Chris Imhof and wife, Connie of Princeton, Texas; a daughter, Stacey Wakefield and husband, Paul, of Childress and a son, Cody Imhof and wife, Tammy, of Ardmore, Oklahoma; grandchildren Christen Lozano and husband, Michael; Kyle Imhof and wife, Blythe; Ryan Wakefield and wife, Kristina; Erin Wakefield Pool and husband, Kolby; Racheal Imhof; Eryka Imhof; Madison Imhof; Cade Ackerman and wife, Lindsey; Jancen Ackerman and wife, Brittany and Kaleigh Ackerman; great grandchildren Madelynn, Connor, Caitlin, and Maren Lozano; Ila and August Imhof and Aubrey and Riley Ackerman; and one sister, Norma Souser of Otis, Colorado.
