Dalton Lewis Reese, age 66, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 in Childress. Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, December 10, 2012 in First United Methodist Church with Rev. George Price officiating . Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Dalton was born October 25, 1946 in Littlefield, Texas to Howard and Evelyn Yates Reese. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He married former Linda Liles, September 10, 1966, in First Baptist Chapel. For 15 years, he was purchasing agent for Lancer Homes and later worked for John Deere both in Childress and in Hollis, Oklahoma. Currently he was employed with Childress Regional Hospital as materials manager. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. As a friend, he was loyal and always had time to listen. Gardening was his passion; something in the yard was tended everyday even into the dark hours He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Dalton is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Evelyn Reese. Memorials may be made to Chilldress Regional Hospice, or Meals on Wheels.
