Memorial services for Clarence Weldon Reese, 79, will be held July 29, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Kevin Smith officiating. A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. July 29, 2023 at 9 a.m. at Childress Cemetery.
He passed away July 1, 2023 in Childress.
He was born December 27, 1943 in Sweetwater, Texas to Clarence Reese and Valley May Franklin Reese just minutes before his favorite twin sister, Nelda.
He was drafted into the Army and served as a cook in Cu Chi, Vietnam. After working for McDonald Concrete in Stratford, he became a truck driver. He most recently worked for Panhandle Transit. He could be seen the last Saturday of the month at the Childress Senior Citizens playing music with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Clarence “Aaron” Reese, and his first wife, Mary Reese and second wife, Martha Reese.
Survivors include his daughters, Rene’ Reese and Darla Reese of Childress; his grandchildren, Teresa Shaw and Jenny Shaw of Yulee. Florida; siblings, Delois Moss of Madison, Tennessee and Nelda Rhea of Paris, Texas and his stepchildren, Sandra Denny and Delores Stewart of Childress.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Childress Senior Citizens.
