Christopher Gene Heathington, age 44, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 10 AM at Childress Cemetery with Ronnie Shoffner officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Chris was born on April 17, 1972 in Childress, Texas. He married the love of his life, Cynthia Ann Dickerson, on August 24, 1998. Chris graduated from TSTI in Amarillo with a degree in Computer Programming, and later he owned and operated Bobcat Wireless in Childress. He also worked at the Childress County Detention Center. Chris was a loving son, husband and father, and was a friend to many and loved by all. Chris was preceded in death by his father, William Heathington. Chris leaves behind his wife, Cynthia Ann Heathington of Childress; his children Robert Baker, Amanda Schwamborn, and Ashlee McQueen; five grandchildren; his mother, Carolyn Heathington; and numerous extended family and friends.
